SINGERS: All voices are welcome; it’s fun, energizing and good for the body and soul. Rehearsals run from Fall through the Spring.

Rehearsals in San Francisco are led by our Maestro, Urs Leonhardt Steiner, who creates an encouraging, friendly, and fun environment for all levels of singers. The Benicia rehearsals are run by Chorus Director, Bruce Rockwell.

Chorus Rehearsals:

San Francisco: Mondays 7:30 - 9:30 pm at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church

Benicia: Tuesdays 7-9 pm at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church


INSTRUMENTALISTS: Join the Golden Gate Symphony family of professional and amateur musicians!

All trained amateur musicians are invited to audition with Maestro Steiner and Concertmaster Loretta Taylor. Auditions are relaxed and informal and take 10-15 minutes where players present 1-2 excerpts of their choice which the demonstrate lyric, melodic and technical abilities. Strings are especially needed. Interested musicians, please contact admin@goldengatesymphony.org to schedule audition time.

There are no permanent positions open for professional musicians at this time, however please contact us to be considered for those occasions when additional musicians are needed for a performance set.

Orchestra Rehearsals: Thursdays 7-10 pm Sept - June at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, San Francisco.
